The V8 is a 3-way passive design housing 2 x 10″ LF drivers, one hornloaded 8″ MF driver and two 1.4″ exit HF compression drivers with 2.5″ voicecoils mounted to a dedicated waveshaping device. The symmetrical dipolar arrangement of the neodymium LF drivers around the centrally mounted coaxial MF and HF components allows a smooth overlap of the adjacent frequency bands in the crossover design. This results in an exceptional 80° horizontal constant directivity dispersion control nominally being maintained down to 250 Hz. The mechanical and acoustical design enables flown vertical arrays of up to twenty four loudspeakers. It can be used in columns of purely V8 loudspeakers or combined with V12s and / or with V-SUBs. The V8 cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill backed by an acoustically transparent foam. Each side panel incorporates a handle, while two additional recessed grips are provided at the rear bottom of the cabinet.
The V12 is a 3-way passive design housing 2 x 10″ LF drivers, one hornloaded 8″ MF driver and two 1.4″ exit HF compression drivers with 2.5″ voicecoils mounted to a dedicated waveshaping device. The symmetrical dipolar arrangement of the neodymium LF drivers around the centrally mounted coaxial MF and HF components allows a smooth overlap of the adjacent frequency bands in the crossover design. This results in an exceptional 120° horizontal constant directivity dispersion control nominally being maintained down to 250 Hz. The mechanical and acoustical design enables flown vertical arrays of up to twenty four loudspeakers. It can be used in columns of purely V12 loudspeakers or combined with V8s and / or with V-SUBs. The cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill backed by an acoustically transparent foam. Each side panel incorporates a handle, while two additional recessed grips are provided at the rear bottom of the cabinet.
The V-SUB is an actively driven high performance cardioid subwoofer powered by a single amplifier channel. The V-SUB features integrated rigging equipment, and shares the same acoustical and visual design as the V-GSUB, which is intended for ground stacked applications only. It houses two long excursion neodymium drivers, an 18″ driver in a bass-reflex design facing to the front and a 12″ driver in a two chamber bandpass design radiating to the rear. The cardioid dispersion pattern resulting from this approach avoids unwanted energy behind the system that reduces the reverberant field at low frequencies and provides the greatest accuracy of low frequency reproduction.
The V subwoofer can be used to supplement V8 and V12 loudspeakers in various combinations, ground stacked or flown, either integrated on top of a V8 / V12 array or as a separate column.
The V-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill backed by an acoustically transparent foam. Each side panel incorporates two handles, whilst the top panel has an M20 high stand flange inserted.
The J8 is a 3-way design housing 2 x 12″ LF drivers, one hornloaded 10″ MF driver and two 1.4″ exit HF compression drivers with 3″ voicecoils mounted to a dedicated waveshaping device. The mechanical and acoustical design enables flown vertical columns of up to 24 loudspeakers to be suspended using vertical splay angles between them of 0° to 7° with a 1° resolution. The cylindrical wave segments produced couple coherently in the vertical plane. Due to the dipolar arrangement of the neodymium LF drivers the exceptional 80° horizontal constant directivity dispersion control is nominally maintained down to 250 Hz. The J8 is acoustically and mechanically compatible with the J12 loudspeaker. It can be used in columns of purely J8 loudspeakers or combined with J12s and / or with J-SUBs. The J8 cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill, the side and rear panels incorporate four handles, and two NLT4F/M, EP5 or NL8 connectors wired in parallel are also mounted at the rear.
The J12 is a 3-way design housing 2 x 12″ LF drivers, one hornloaded 10″ MF driver and two 1.4″ exit HF compression drivers with 3″ voicecoils mounted to a dedicated waveshaping device. The mechanical and acoustical design enables flown vertical columns of up to 24 loudspeakers to be suspended using vertical splay angles between them of 0° to 7° with a 1° resolution. The cylindrical wave segments produced couple coherently in the vertical plane. Due to the dipolar arrangement of the neodymium LF drivers the exceptional 120° horizontal constant directivity dispersion control is nominally maintained down to 250 Hz. The J12 is acoustically and mechanically compatible to the J8 loudspeaker. It can be used in columns of purely J12 loudspeakers or combined with J8s and / or with J-SUBs. The J12 cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill, the side and rear panels incorporate four handles, and two NLT4F/M, EP5 or NL8 connectors wired in parallel are also mounted at the rear.
The J-SUB is an actively driven 2-way bass-reflex design housing three long excursion neodymium 18″ drivers, two drivers face to the front and one driver to the rear. The cardioid dispersion pattern resulting from this approach avoids unwanted energy behind the system, which greatly reduces the reverberant field at low frequencies and provides the greatest accuracy of low frequency reproduction. J-SUB cabinets can be used to supplement J8 and J12 loudspeakers in various combinations, ground stacked or flown, either integrated on top of a J8 / J12 array or as a separate column. The J-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front and rear of the loudspeaker cabinet are protected by a rigid metal grill and the side panels incorporate eight handles. Four 100 mm wheels and one EP5 or NL8 connector are mounted at the rear.
The J-INFRA is a cardioid infra subwoofer that can be used to supplement J-Series systems consisting of J8, J12 and J-SUB cabinets. It extends the frequency response of a J-Series system down to 27 Hz and can only be used in ground stacked configurations in conventional left/right set-ups, as well as arranged in an infra subwoofer array. It has two bass-reflex chambers containing three 21″ drivers, two facing forward in one chamber that are driven from one channel of the d&b amplifier and one facing backwards driven by another amplifier channel. Through this driver set-up its cardioid dispersion pattern avoids unwanted energy behind the system and greatly reduces the reverberant field at low frequencies, providing highest accuracy in low frequency reproduction. Selecting Hypercardioid mode in the amplifier optimises the tuning of front and rear channels for a maximum rejection at the left and right sides behind the cabinet. The J-INFRA cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front and rear of the loudspeaker cabinet are protected by a rigid metal grill and the side panels incorporate eight handles. The cabinet front is fitted with four catches for securing an optional wooden lid.

The 2 RU four channel D80 amplifier is a high power density amplifier, ideally suited for use in both mobile and installation environments. It contains configurations for all d&b loudspeakers and a linear mode. The signal delay capability enables user definable settings of up to 10 s (= 3440 m/11286 ft) to be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers, providing optional parametric, asymmetric, shelving or notch filtering. The D80 incorporates a colour TFT touchscreen, offering quick access to the menu structure, while the rotary encoder can be used for fine adjustment. The front panel and the integrated touchscreen of the D80 amplifier is tilted up for ease of operation when the amplifier is below eye level. The equal ratio of signal input to amplifier output channels increases the application flexibility particularly for monitor, frontfill or effect channel use. The LoadMatch function integrated within the D80 amplifier enables the electrical compensation of loudspeaker cable properties, without the need for an extra conductor. This results in an increased accuracy of audio reproduction over a bandwidth of up to 20 kHz, preserving the tonal balance when cable lengths of up to 70 m (230 ft) are used. The D80 incorporates Class D amplifiers utilizing a power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC) suitable for mains voltages 100 V/120 V/200 V/230 V, 50 – 60 Hz and maintains a stable output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies. An NL8 provides all outputs on a single connector, while individual outputs are optionally NL4 or EP5 connectors. RJ 45 and etherCON connectors enable access to the d&b Remote network via CAN-Bus and OCA/AES70 via Ethernet respectively.
